Commission on Accreditation of Graduate Education in Neurology Standards for Graduate School Programs in Clinical Neurology
A doctor of chiropractic is a clinician whose purpose, as a practitioner of the healing arts,is to help meet the health needs of individual patients and of the public, giving particularattention to the structural and neurological aspects of the body.
The application of science in chiropractic concerns itself with the relationship between structure, primarily the spine, and function, primarily coordinated by the nervous system of the human body, as that relationship may affect the restoration and preservation of health. Further, this application of science in chiropractic focuses on the inherent ability of the body to heal without the use of drugs or surgery.
The subspecialty of chiropractic neurology education is to provide the Doctor/student/learner with an advanced knowledge in clinical and functional neurology.
Commission on Accreditation of Graduate Education Neurology (CAGEN) ORGANIZATION
CAGEN shall be incorporated as a Non-Profit and filed for tax purposes in the State of Texas in the year of 2004.

The only purpose of CAGEN is to evaluate graduate chiropractic/functional neurology programs of 300 hours or more that lead to the students/learners setting for the ACNB board examination.
The Board of CAGEN shall be made up of a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 7 current Diplomates of the ACNB or equivalent. Each term on the Board shall be for a minimum of 2 years.
Members cannot be instructors in any of the Neurological Graduate Programs or any of the continuing education portions of the programs due to conflict of interest. Members cannot get any monetary support or items of value from any of the current Neurological Graduate Programs or vendors that supply equipment and/or merchandise to the Programs or Diplomates.
Membership is approved by the current members of the CAGEN and ACNB boards. This is a volunteer position.
CAGEN Board shall vote for the Chair person and the Chair shall appoint duties to the rest of the board members. The Chair person’s term is January to January of the calendar year.
The ACNB initially funds and adds funding as needed for CAGEN to continue operations. CAGEN also receives monies from the applications for accreditation. The
funds are used for travel and inspection costs due to certification and re-certification of programs.
The Bylaws, Standards and Application may be amended by a majority vote of its Board of Directors and approved by the board of ACNB.
If CAGEN dissolves its charter, all assets will be turned over to ACNB.
